The duties as a Sales Manager is to manage a defined business brand portfolio of luxury brands.
The management responsibility will include all Sub-Saharan African Markets excluding South Africa and will include both direct sales and operational execution of divisional and brand strategies
Develop sales strategy (sell in and sell out) for the portfolio to ensure attainment of company sales goals.
Set annual sales forecast & budgets for brands together with Marketing, in order to reach overall company objectives and profitability goals.
Develop specific retailer execution strategies to achieve market share growth, ranking and performance objectives
Analyse business performance by customer group, by brand and compile and implement action plans
Drive this skill with direct reports in order to achieve best opportunities at store levels
Develop and maintain relationships with our key Retailers to ensure our respective brands are deemed integral to their business, so as to maximise brand growth, support and exposure in their stores.
Guide your reports to work in partnership with all other departments to ensure the smooth day to day running of both the brands and the business as a whole, through regular and relevant communication
Drive the correct behaviours and programs to develop a Retailer BC delivery of great customer experiences and achievement of sales budgets
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our competitors and leverage this to ensure leadership position and strategic edge
Oversee the dissemination of sales information on a departmental level to measure and report on sale performance to the General Manager
Lead, manage and develop your direct reports, to encourage growth and job satisfaction, whilst delivering on company objectives by optimising both the individual, team and department performance
Develop a dynamic (effective and productive) sales and training teams that is results oriented and culturally in line with the brand, and sell out focused
Influence, motivate and achieve high levels of commitment from subordinates, colleagues, internal and external associates in a variety of situations.
