Facilitate the training and development of team members in the department, by providing feedback and coaching to support improvements in their job performance.
Conduct annual Performance Appraisal for Workshop Personnel.
Provide advice and technical assistance to team members.
Truck Mechanical Knowledge ESSENTIAL
Duties to include:
To carry out repairs & maintenance on various manufacturing machinery & equipment
Production planning & scheduling
Oversee electrical department
Prior experience overseeing an electrical department
Responsible planning, leading, organizing, and supervising the day to day activities of the Workshop Section, controlling the quality of repairs
Supervise the maintenance and repair of all of the vehicle fleet, including Tractor Trailers and other technical
Support equipment (electrical, electronic and mechanical) ensuring that overhauls, preventative maintenance and repair are done in a cost effective manner, with attention given to quality and longer duration of equipment.
Ensure that the equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable working condition in accordance with planned preventive maintenance program and to identify and rectify repetitive problems
Committed to providing leadership and direction to labor to ensure that they present the epitome of end results

The role will take responsibility, working as part of a team, for ensure all equipment is in good working order and any repairs are down in an efficient manner to ensure the least downtime.
Duties to include:
Performs a variety of skilled carpentry work in the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and fixtures.
Alters, repairs, inspects and constructs articles and structures of wood, including partitions, counters, doors, window frames, scaffolds, forms and fences.
Constructs and repairs furniture, equipment and wooden fixtures such as cabinets, countertops, desks, and shelves and other delicate hand made items.
Hangs drywall; performs taping and texturing and drywall repairs.?
Lays and repairs floors
Operates saws, lathes, planers, shapers, joiners, sanders, and other woodworking equipment.
Performs glazing and roof repair functions.
Plans, organizes and lays out assigned tasks; estimates labor and material project costs.
Monitors supply and equipment inventories and recommends/requisitions purchases.?
Maintains a variety of records including those related to preventive maintenance and service performed.
Performs semi-skilled duties related to other maintenance trade areas.

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing

Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
Bell, bead with power hammers, or weld pressure vessel tube ends, in order to ensure leakproof joints.
Bolt or arc-weld pressure vessel structures and parts together, using wrenches and welding equipment.
Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats to locate defects such as leaks, weak spots, and defective sections so that they can be repaired.
Inspect assembled vessels and individual components, such as tubes, fittings, valves, controls, and auxiliary mechanisms, to locate any defects.
Install manholes, handholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, and feedwater connections in drums of water tube boilers, using hand tools.
Install refractory bricks and other heat-resistant materials in fireboxes of pressure vessels.
Lay out plate, sheet steel, or other heavy metal, and locate and mark bending and cutting lines, using protractors, compasses, and drawing instruments or templates.
Locate and mark reference points for columns or plates on boiler foundations, following blueprints and using straightedges, squares, transits, and measuring instruments.
Position, align, and secure structural parts and related assemblies to boiler frames, tanks, or vats of pressure vessels, following blueprints.
