The role will report to the maintenance manager for the company.
As this person will be a one man operation we will need someone that is mature and has a diverse skill set and ability and willingness to perform tasks at different levels

The applicant will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining tyres for an agricultural company.
Lead a team of tyre maintenance specialists.
Ensure safe standards of work are developed and adhered to in this high risk environment.
Support the development of a continuous improvement culture to ensure tyre life is maximised by using best practice tyre management standards.
Responsible for inspecting, removal, repair or replacement of tyres.

The role will take responsibility, working as part of a team, for ensure all equipment is in good working order and any repairs are down in an efficient manner to ensure the least downtime.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Technician must be able to manage a small team when necessary or work autonomously
Installations will include installing access control systems, CCTV, alarm systems and EAS Electronic Article
Surveillance equipment at retailers
Technician must be able to work neatly and have an eye for detail as to installation quality
The position requires extensive travel around South Africa and may require technician to be away from home for up to two weeks at a time
Installations mostly take place on building sites or in new stores being built in existing malls and candidate will be required to be able to engage with, do planning and collaborate with project managers, other installation and construction companies’ management and staff
After hours work and work on weekends can be required at any time especially when projects fall behind which maybe result of failures on the part of other providers or in case of urgent call-outs for maintenance

The ideal candidate is required to perform maintenance and mechanical duties for residential and commercial buildings and related facilities, furnishings, and equipment. The required duties may include, but not limited to, plumbing installation and repair service, air conditioning, and related work
Reading, drawings, and figures to understand the layout of water supply, waste, and venting systems
Installing, repairing and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
Being able to work in confined spaces or at certain heights
Communicating effectively and confidently with colleagues, subcontractors, and management
Locating pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
Using hand and power tools, as well as machines, to measure, cut, bend and thread pipes

Being able to test pipes for leakages using water as well as air pressure gauges
Knowledge of legal restrictions and safety rules
