Ensure that production and demand plans and activities are aligned and visible across the business; develop systems and S&OP processes, including timely reporting of any issues that may impact plans.
Ensure field production is done in both a timely and effective manner, to make sure that the planned quantities of seed of specified quality are produced and available as required.
Coordinate recruitment of growers and the implementation of the field production plan.
Ensure phytosanitary, regulatory and quality requirements, including certification, are adhered to and all shipments of seed made do not contravene any country or international regulations or good practice.

Liaise with the sources of breeder seed to ensure sufficient quantities are available in a timely manner to meet the production plan, ensuring agreements are in place with the seed or hybrid owners.
Putting in place planning and logistics systems and processes that integrate with the company finance system.
Procure, install and operate seed processing equipment at company sites in Kenya, Zambia and South Africa.
Ensure customer orders are fulfilled, dispatched and invoiced in a timely manner.
Ensure the companies HSEQ rules and procedures are established and fully implemented.
Managed production planning and S&OP systems and developed processes in a cross border business.
Aware of regulations and certification pertaining to cross border seed trade in ESA.
A customer focused individual, committed to building a reputation for trust and reliability.
Ideally will have worked in a seed production environment in a similar role for at least 5 years. Willingness to travel periodically to the companys operations in ESA.
Experience of working with a start-up business is desirable.
The role requires an individual who has experience in Abattoir Management, has managed a large team, has excellent quality control and has a fantastic knowledge of all aspects of factory management.

This is a position with long term opportunity for the right candidate. We are seeking a FARM MANAGER to establish and develop macadamia nuts. Responsible for the day to day management of operations on the farm.
Managing land preparation and planting of trees
Overseeing and working with various contractors during the development phase
Management of operations including, fertilization, irrigation, spraying, pruning, harvesting and conditioning of nuts for maximum sustainable yield and quality
Liaising with industry stakeholders, specialist consultants, suppliers and customers; and Developing and ensuring safe and environmentally sound farming practices
Responsibilities and Duties Include but are not subject to:
Review production records
Schedule feed production
Keep inventory of feed ingredients and order as needed
Test and review feed/grain quality
Schedule employee shifts and keep track of employee time
Handle customer questions and complaints
Evaluate operating procedures
Set quality assurance standards
Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets
Stay up to date on new technology and ways to make process improvements
Train new employees and provide development opportunities
Ensure all employees are trained on safety and continue to stay up to date
Maintain filling equipment and other equipment needed to perform duties such as loaders, scales etc.
The right candidate should possess the following: <Br>
A knowledge of plant and soil nutrition and experience with sub-tropical crops
A good knowledge of the agricultural industry in Zambia
Proven experience working within a team and managing his / her time and operations.
Skilled in working with spreadsheet systems to anticipate, plan and record productivity and planning Commitment to follow-up and reliable after sales support.
