freight liner trucks and parts
European trucks and parts (Scania, Volvo, DAF and Mercedes)
The position will include travel over Zambia and will be a commission based role
Duties to include:

Develop sales area and Top ten customer action plan and review the same on a regular basis
Segment the customer portfolio under your responsibility using the ABC Model into and apply sales intensity basis the criteria as derived by SFE. Regularly review this criteria with the SPI customer scoring tool and ensure consistency
Develop and maintain profitable sales by negotiating supply contracts favorable to the company at all time
Ensures sales of company products, services and benefits by responsible presentation, adherence to company standards and graphics.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, understanding the drivers of business in each segment of your territory and evolution of customer needs that may be the basis of development of new or improved products.
ï¿¼Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as leadership in local authorities, influential business individuals etc and ensure the Lafarge brand is held in high esteem
Responsible for identification of knowledge gaps and training needs for merchants and organisation/recommendation of relevant training with the view of increasing sales
Plan sales territory coverage to ensure maximum customer contact via detailed call plans as per SFE guidelines.
Ensure that all call plans are captured in CRM and updated within 24hrs of execution.
Regularly review account receivable position of all customers under your responsibility and, in liaison with the credit controller, ensure that all customers trade within approved trading terms
Regularly collect intelligence information which includes but is not limited to pricing, competitor activities such as promotions, expansion plans and trading terms, volume of imports coming through your region e.t.c and report to management on a regular basis.
Regularly scan the area under your responsibility for new developmental projects, and report back to management on a regular basis.
Regularly update customer hunting list with action plan for execution. Ensure update of all prospects in CRM
Promptly handle all customer queries and complaints in your territory using CRM and ensure they are all brought to their logical closure with necessary CRM updates promptly done within 24hrs of closure
Liaise whenever necessary with the local management to ensure a proper level of customer service, communication and advice is maintained.
Ensure smooth execution of approved marketing driven promotional activity in area of responsibility in liaison with marketing department.
Regular use of Retail mapping tool to map all relevant points of interest in area of responsibility and ensure regular update of information.
